To learn more about, or to find out if you are a candidate for Dysport, schedule your complimentary consultation. Dr. Hoefflin will thoroughly explain all your available options and help you choose the best procedure, skin treatment or injectable to meet your cosmetic needs. Dr. Hoefflin performs Dysport and all other dermal filler injections, such as: Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra and Facial Fat Grafting. Regarded for his expertise in facial rejuvenation, he has traveled extensively to lecture about his injection techniques to other physicians. Dr. Hoefflin performs all office injections himself, and does not rely upon Physician Assistants or Registered Nurses to inject patients in his office. All patients receive complimentary anesthetic numbing cream and post-injection ice compresses.
Dysport is a FDA approved injection for the treatment of facial lines and wrinkles. It is derived from the cosmetic form of Botulinium Toxin, a highly purified protein from a family of naturally occurring muscle-relaxing compounds. Dysport, in a similar fashion to Botox, temporarily relaxes the underlying muscles responsible for facial expression. These repetitive facial expressions can lead to the development of facial folds and wrinkles.
Dr. Hoefflin performs Dysport treatments to primarily diminish or reduce the lines and wrinkles in the forehead, glabella (area between the eyebrows), crow’s feet (area surrounding the eyes), vertical lip lines, and chin. The overall result is a less tired, more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Results can be seen within 24 hours after your treatment. Advantages of Dysport compared to Botox are a shorter onset of action and longer duration of results.
Dysport treatments are performed directly in our offices. All patients receive complimentary anesthetic numbing cream and post-injection ice compresses. Typical treatments take 15 minutes. There is no downtime or recovery. As with Botox, patients can immediately return back to work and other social activities.
Typical results from Dysport injections last anywhere from 4 to 6 months. Individual results may vary.
Our professional offices charge $200 per area treated. The forehead, glabella (area between the eyebrows), and crow’s feet (area around the eyes) are each considered one unit. An introductory price of $200 per area is offered for new patients.
When administered by a properly qualified physician, Dysport is an extremely safe treatment with very few side effects. There are no permanent side effects with properly used Dysport. Unwanted side effects may include injection site pain, injection site reaction, nose and throat irritation, sinus inflammation, eyelid drooping, headache, and nausea.
Patients with active infections at the proposed injection site(s), or patients with known hypersensitivy to any ingredient in the Botox formulation should not receive treatment. Patients with known neurological disorders such as Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Myasthenia Gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects. Lastly, if you are under age 18, pregnant, or breast feeding, you should avoid Dysport treatments, as it has not been tested in that regard.
Aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, Advil, and virtually all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents thin the blood and can promote bruising. In addition, anything herbal, red wine, and homeopathic medications can do the same. To minimize bruising, it’s advisable to avoid these products for 10 days before a treatment. To find out more about which medications you are presently taking and their potential for bruising, please contact our offices.
Our medical offices offers our patients both topical and oral Arnica, a homeopathic medication which may reduce any residual bruising.
